Such lists always backfire. I guess in many circles it will quickly become a badge of honor to be on this list. |

If J. Edgar Hoover knew all these people were plotting against the constitution there would be trouble. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

Why would you find this objectionable? They are informing their membership, not calling for a boycott or trying to bend a legitimate business to their will. |

It is currently the duty of Obama folks to rant about guns on a daily basis until the position evolves. The Washington Post has certainly fallen in line. |

There also seems to be a corresponding duty to rant about the NRA who, as everyone knows, opposes all "reasonable" limits on gun rights and whose sole purpose is to convince a vast number of Americans that they should be allowed to own firearms rather than as an extension of a vast number of Americans' already believing they do so. |

I do not find this objectionable, just interesting to see who's on the list. I recognize that the NRA can public whatever lists it wants to communicate with its membership. Heck, even if the NRA were to call for boycott, I still would not find it objectionable. |

I'm not big gun expert, but it appears to me that the NRA's opposition to the idea of background checks is pretty stupid. The whole debate is like one big paranoia conference. One group ranting about assault rifles, and one group saying we're teetering on the brink of a fascist take-over of America. In reality I think we're actually on the brink of a dumbass take-over of America, and what's more we're on the wrong side of the brink. |

Since when has the NRA been opposed to background checks? They were instrumental in getting the current ones enacted. If they oppose extension of those into other areas it is only because of the record of the way the current checks have been implemented which is to say less than stellar. |
