Walking the Walk; Kudos to St. Boniface/San Fran, and other churches that do the same

Geaux Tigers!
You are not addressing a very important point...resources are limited, those who need to be helped far outweigh those resources.

At the same time, if a pastor or priest cannot take care of the needs of his own congregation, he will be able to do much less than if he has the backing of his congregation.

That's just hard, everyday Truth.

So...who do you help, who do you not disappoint and where can one make the most impact?

My position in the thread has been consistent...from a cost benefit analysis, the actions of this church accomplish little, while exposing the church to a large downside. If the church is so worried about giving these people daytime sleeping accomadations, why not do it somewhere other than their sanctuary?

I think it is more about appearances than results.

Consistent with my comment to Mik, I'll refrain from commenting further.

I don't say that as a criticism. Appearances can have an effect too.
