I thought the coma was after you ate them.

Yes, bad joke. So sorry. :whome:

That's NIFLA!! :thumb:

Hopefully, that's a good sign for the whole situation.

I'm happy for you, too. I can't imagine the stress of having a kid being sent off to war.

Read an interesting story that basically credited Iron Dome with the cease-fire. Claimed that even Hamas finally had to shrug and admit it was pointless to continue.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

first of all the bus bomber has been captured. 18 yr old west banker who got Israeli citizenship when he married an Israeli Arab woman, and so was able to move freely in tel aviv. He boarded bus and left the bomb and got off..the bomb was set off by cell phone from the west bank. The whole cell was arrested within 4 hours of the explosion.

LD, not sure thats accurate. cease fire was imposed by egypt on hamas. Egypt has tremendous leverage over gaza morsi needed quiet now he is up to his ass with problems in egypt.

other interesting things I've been reading. during the week deafening silence from the standard sunni strongholds, saudi Arabia, the emirates, even Jordan. They are furious with Hamas for being an Iran Shiite proxy. The main fault line in the middle east is Shiite Sunni. the main impetus for the timing of all this seems to have come from Teheran. They started turning up the flames about a month ago to get Syria out of the headlines. Iran is heavily behind assad and his murderous campaign. During this past week 400 Syrian civilians were killed. Who notices? this last month more Palestinians died in syria than in gaza. Who cares? The only problem was the flames were turned a bit too high and this demanded a more severe response than Iran planned. The only question is whether Tehran will succeed in making due on their promise to rearm Hamas.

It's important to understand that Hamas missile firings are not done out of rage or humiliation. rage and humiliation are terms for the street, for the masses. Hamas functions out of calculation, strategic interests, like any political entity. and they answer to teheran. This drives the Sunnis crazy. They really hate and fear the crazy mullahs in Iran.

Anyway, son was in a paratroop reserve brigade sitting in staging area. They all thought they were going in at any moment. We r all relieved to have him back, although as Ive written, I didn't think the ground incursion was a strong possibility. It may still be in he cards for the future. time will tell. We will have our own thanksgiving dinner on another Thursday in December.

Tougher citizenship laws in the future?
