And heck, let's just look at the first sentence of the article:

"Gone live"? It's "live" now, is it, this program? Who's doing the broadcasting? Adrian Cronauer? Are we tuning in from the deltas to the DMZ here? Instead of misusing a weakass colloquialism, which doesn't make you sound hip and trendy but more like a moron, why not say initiated? Commenced? Instituted? Set [in motion]? Began?
