Just checking ... Any one here changing his mind about whom to vote for or how to donate his time and/or money to either candidate's campaign after last night's debate? |

My impression that the American TNCR members fall in three camps: i) Strictly liberal, would never vote Republican, ii) Strictly republican, would never vote for the Democrats, iii) Not interested in or frustrated by politics, think that it doesn't make a (big) difference who wins. The potential fourth camp of independents who may vote either way - the actual target audience of these debates - seems to be mostly nonexisting here. |

I've decided to vote for Obama. He was a lot more articulate without a teleprompter than I thought he ever could be. |

Klaus, that is an inaccurate generalization. While it is true I seldom vote for Democrats in a national election, I have many times voted for them on a state and local level. I think you will find that is true of most of us. |

There's actually only three people in the entire United States who decide the election every time since everybody else always votes exactly the same way. Thankfully, they're completely unaware of the unimaginable power which they wield. This is a particularly good thing since two of them died in 1983, and the third one is feeling rather unwell. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

Has not changed my vote whatsoever. Neither gave anything of substance last night, and neither of them have done anything in their careers to earn even a modicum of trust. I see the replies and the excitement of the conservative posters on here and elsewhere and I don't get it. Romney won last night completely on style points and no substance whatsoever. I don't give a flying fvck how "Presidential" you are in your demeanor, that ultimately means jack. I said it about the Obama presidency "Welcome to the American Idol Administration". I should be excited that the R's are playing to the same vacuous mindset? No thanks. I'll vote for my local dogcatcher in November, but the Presidential ballot is still going in blank or with a write in. |
| The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it. | |

IMO, Gary Johnson *should* be getting more real conservative support. He's the only true advocate of less government and more individual liberty on the slate. |

How much freaking time does it take to memorize a bunch of amusing one-liners provided by your handlers? If Romney can manage to remember the enormously witty term 'trickle down government' and repeat it ad nauseum, surely Obama's able assistants can come up with something half-way clever, and bang it into his thick skull. Failing that, he should spend a couple of weeks attending the Mother of Parliaments to see how it's* done. * 'it' being the ability to speak off-the-cuff on a variety of topics for an extended period of time, whilst saying absolutely nothing of substance, and more importantly unintentionally incriminating nobody. |
