Neither doing that well. Romney is making funny faces here and there, Obama seems not quite present. |

Both sides suck. There's the "Appear to screw the rich" and the "Appear to screw the poor" parties. But to get this far both candidates are sold out to the massive corporate interest that really run America, and indeed the world. The puppet in the oval office does not matter. What they say tonight does not matter. Americans vary; many are naive enough to think we still have a democracy. If so, watch the debates and get all whooped up. I, like most, just vote the party ticket anyway, so why bother watching the debates? NOTHING say tonight can change my vote. Besides, I have something important to do. I must wash my hair and pick the lint off my black sweater. ... not to mention, waste my time here.

Haven't really heard anything specific yet. "He said this." "No, I said, that." "Yeah, but he said the other thing." ad nauseam |

Romney looks much more at ease. Obama is stiff and reporting memorized points. |

Romney is starting out very strong. His statements and answers are very much aiming at the middle class. If you've never listen to or read what Romney proposed in the past (that 20% cut to all marginal tax rates, for example, a percentage that Romney never sites throughout the first 15~20 minutes o the debate), you'd think that Romney's plan is pretty reasonable. |

Makes me think that all his team's warnings not to expect much, was just a clever set up for greater delight that, in fact, it was known that he was going to be well-prepared. And maybe also, to encourage Team Obama to slack a bit from excess confidence. Wonder what would happen if there were mandatory drug testing for these guys - or even as a surprise. Romney could certainly have done with a chill-pill (and probably did IMO) . |

It was too late live, since it was buried in a 2min talk. But it'll be a good ad. "if there's a tax break for moving jobs overseas i don't know about it, i need a new accountant'. That'll be in Ohio by next week. |
