Please help me remember the disgusting threat.

Really? In the middle of a heated argument with another forum member, you posted a photo of his family that was almost immediately taken down by the moderators. If you need any further help with this, you might try using the search function.

A poster whom I had forgotten, if I had ever known him, threatened me.
I posted a picture.
Mik asked me to remove the picture so I did.
No moderator involvement.
No threat.

If you need any further help with this please let me know.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Cooper, you're a hard act to follow, arsehole.

If only you were following, there never would have been any trouble.

But you weren't so I responded in kind.
Not sure whether you fall into the category of animal or small brat act.

This thread is hilarious.

"Never mind that an ugly assed B grade actor made a commercial for Obama that was filled with bare faced lies and a 10 year old little girl yelling FVCK out the window ----- let's attack those who thought it was tasteless and crass and deflect attention away from it by talking about who here is an asshole and that I said I'd slap his ugly face off and shove it up his ass!!"

I don't recall any threat -- I recall a picture of a member's child with a sort of message to not be a bad example to them. But it was taken down. What was the threat?

Ivory, I told that feces faced prick, Copper, I would haunt and torment him and then posted a photo of Stalin thumbing his nose. I actually never saw the picture he posted. Mik and John called him out. Thank you for confirming that it was a picture of my son. I always suspected it was.

Copper is nothing but a two bit creep.

Mik asked nicely, it's as simple as that.

And IT correctly remembers the context.

All of it precipitated by the attack from ren.

You have the same search function I do.

I can assure you that if Mr. Jackson made a simple public service message asking people to vote I would be unlikely to comment. It's likely I never would have seen it. In this case it is the style that is selective.
Okay, but do you feel the same about movies that use similar language and tone?
I cite irreconcilable differences.

That Larry threatens bodily harm to an actor obviously playing a role?
Are you making some sort of hyperbolic rhetorical point that you really don't believe? Or do you really think that Larry expressed a real threat to commit a crime against Mr Jackson?

The upshot of Jackson's piece, regardless of its style, is that it is dangerous in a democracy to be complacent. Does anybody here have a problem with that message? How about with the message that if I don't like how you act, I'm going to beat you up or go after, in some fashion, your family?
No, that's not the upshot. The upshot is that Mr Jackson thinks its dangerous to be complacent and not vote for Obama, and so he feels entitled to invade a home, upbraid people having a quiet evening, curse at people including teenagers, disturb a student doing his homeworker, creepily show up in the bedroom of an elderly couple enjoying intimacy, and empower a 10 year old girl to become a foul mouthed public nuisance.

I want nothing to do with such a future erosion of civic and human virtues -- which is why this sort of political ad confirms by ABO vote. It's bad enough that your candidate is killing US citizens without due process through an extrajudicial secret star-chamber, and is funneling billions in public funds to his friends in failed businesses under the "sustainable energy" fraud, and growing the national debt to astronomical proportions that harm the vitality of the US. Now we see that same liberal mind set has not even a shred of common decency or respect for the sanctity of someone's private home.

What exactly do you find so appealing about that?
The dogma lives loudly within me.

Simple decorum. Copper complied with a request. There was no threat. You should reevaluate your position about this.

I submit that you'd feel differently if you had a toddler at home.

That was even creepier than I had remembered it. Especially in the context of the previous posts.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Obviously I don't think that Larry is going to beat up Samuel L. Jackson any more than I think that Jackson has actually invaded a home. Do you think Jackson actually invaded a home, or was it all part of a short movie he was in and the others in it were actors as well?

You're talking about a short video and blaming it on Obama. Do I have that right?

What can one say to this? The "liberal mind set"? I remind you that Jackson isn't actually invading anyone's home.

I don't recall saying I found anything appealing or not appealing. What I find absurd is people getting all up in arms about an obviously scripted political video.

The feelings are understandable, and it does not require me to have a toddler at home. I didn't read it as creepy, I read it as a reminder to be a civil human being for the sake of one's family and to not threaten to haunt and torment people on the internet (which was the context of the previous posts).

Bad form and heavy handed and socially unacceptable, but there was no threat.
