The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

It is pretty suspicious that it gets really hot every single summer. It's almost as if there was some kind of cyclic pattern. However, I'm pretty sure that the weather is a sign that the end of times is upon us once more. My suspicion is that the Big Guy is as sick of the US election as the rest of us, and is about to apply the Ultimate Veto. |

A pattern of what? A summer like we have not seen since 1935? So what. We've had mild winters and cold winters and cool summers like last year. You see what you wish to see I suppose. |

I was joking, you moron There's a cyclic pattern all right - it's called the seasons. |

What kind of moron would attempt to use the weather in a particular year as evidence for or against global warming? |

Obviously you missed it, so let me explain it to you: I was pointing out the absurdity of the whole thing by doing the very thing the "man made global warming" idiots do, only using a cold snap instead of a heat wave. I don't think the idiot who's the topic of this thread intended to convey sarcasm in her statement, do you? |

Sarcasm is such a subtle form of humour. First it's there, then it's gone! |

It's not humor if you are the only one who finds it funny.
