If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
Apparently these injuries took place on his first birthday. The child had already been in a foster home for abuse but was returned to his mother. I just want to cry. They showed a picture of this littkle angel on the news.

I know this happens all the time, but this one got to me fro whatever reason.

OHIO COUNTY, Ind. -- A southeastern Indiana man has been arrested on a murder charge in the death of his girlfriend's 1-year-old son.
State police began investigating in January after Nolan Helfrich, 1, was taken from a home in Rising Sun to Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, where he died of blunt-force trauma to his head, neck and torso.
An autopsy found his injuries were not accidental, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Investigator said the boy's mother, Michelle Helfrich, had left her son in the care of her live-in boyfriend, Brian Woeste, 26, while she was in class at Ivy Tech in Lawrenceburg.

Woeste was arrested Thursday morning in Switzerland County.
He was preliminarily charged with murder, battery resulting in death of a person less than 14 years old and two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in death.

It does seem to be much more frequent nowadays, horribly enough. Or do you think it's (hopefully) that the Media are capitalizing on it (like cannibalism)?

OTOH there's a reason "Hansel and Gretel " is a classic.

We should tolerate eccentricity in others, almost to the point of lunacy, provided no one else is harmed.
