This Is how the border between India and Pakistan is closed every evening!! This is not a Monty Python comedy skit, but it does resemble one. Keep in mind that each of these countries have nuclear weapons... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f3Wg2PiI4w |

ZOOOOOM!

Yes, this is what they do. It's a competition of sorts between the soldiers from each country. I don't see what's so weird about it or why it would be news. It would be like an Indian guy coming across a video of the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and gawking at it. EDIT Okay, sorry, I can't let this go: 2) You have it backwards. This doesn't "resemble" a Monty Python skit. The two countries didn't base their military practices on a freaking Month Python skit, that's ridiculous. The Monty Python skit is a pisstake on ceremonies such as these. |

If there's one thing the Brits are good at, it's knowing the power of a good bluff. Let's face it, we conquered half the known world with nothing more than a few hundred poorly trained soldiers and some amusingly shaped vegetables used for bartering people's kingdoms away. |

They salute each other and shake hands before closing the border for the night. Quite civilised I think. The rest is pure British military army (especially the arm swings to shoulder height). |
