See http://www.macrumors.com/2012/06/11/video-of-wwdc-2012-keynote-now-available/

Disappointed that Apple Inc. has nothing new to offer in the server market, be it Mac Pro or Mac Mini Server.

Would be rather sad when I cannot find a good OS X server hardware any more. :(

Also disappointed that so long after Thunderbolt has been introduced, there is still no Gigabit Ethernet adapter for it. And Apple Inc. has eliminated Ethernet and FireWire from the new 15" Retina display MacBook Pro ... I am not ready to take on a MacBook Pro that cannot work with my existing FireWire accessories and Gigabit Ethernet network yet. :(

EDIT: Just saw that the Apple Store now sells a Thunderbolt - Gigabit Ethernet adapter ... things are looking up, a bit.

No new iMac. :veryangry:

However, they did update the Mac Pro (just not mentioned at the Keynote).

Thanks ... just found out about the Thunderbolt-Gigabit Ethernet adapter too.

As for the Mac Pro ... it's a very minor update. System architecture and all the I/O stay the same (no Thunderbolt, for example), just a minor CPU speed increase.

And it seems Apple Inc. has dropped their 17" MacBook Pro. No longer available on the Apple Store.

WWDC is traditionally a software event. Yeah, they've announced hardware in the past, but it's usually software - hence the emphasis on OS X 10.8 and IOS 6.

The 2880 x 1800 display sounds very very cool. If I had not bought a new notebook a couple of weeks ago I might have bought this one. The displays of the other Macbook Pros are still embarrassingly low resolution, though (compared to the displays, say, Sony has had for years).

But... but... "MACs are SO GOOD, if you're working with GRAPHICS!!"

Yeah... What a load of horse-crap. I had an iMAC for about a year, during which, I really, truly TRIED to like it. I wanted to like it! It's like dating a really beautiful, but deeply flawed woman. When you first start dating, you're like, "OMG! This is great!!" Three months into it, you're like, "Beautiful, and I can overlook these few things..." Seven months into it, you're like, "G'ah... I'm getting sick of her sh!t!" At the end of one year, you're like, "Oh, Baby... I'm sorry. It's not me, it's YOU! I HATE YOU!!! GTFO of my life!!!"

Owning a PC is like being with a beautiful women, too. Three months in everything slows down and you realise you've got a very nasty virus.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

We have both a Macbook Pro and a few PC-based laptops in our home.

The best thing about the Macbook is the power of its shell. On Windows, one has to use Cygwin, which does not work as smoothly.

Apart from that, simple things are sometimes a bit simpler on the Mac, whereas advanced things are sometimes a bit simpler on Windows.

Recently I learned to hate the Macbook because of an apparent and known bug in its wireless driver which Apple hasn't fixed yet although it is known for at least a year.
