Actually, I wonder (and I'm too lazy to look it up), how the New Party defined Socialism. |

That's pretty much the same stuff you have said about every conservative position around here. It must be stupid or dumb or naive or gullible or whatever. There are plenty of people who legitimately and with good, intelligent, thoughtful reasons don't like socialism. And Mr. Obama looks like socialism to them. That doesn't mean they are dumb and gullible. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

I guess that means they define it self-referentially and tautologically. Figures, more meaningless nonsense from Obama. |
| As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good? | |

To be perfectly honest, I'm bored sh!tless of the politics here. Your f*cking elections are interminable, and your politicians suck. Not just the conservatives, all of them. There, I've said it again. Sorry if this upsets you, but honesty is the best policy. Feel free to insult the British government if it makes you feel any better. They're a bunch of useless wankers too. The only good thing about British politics by comparison is that the elections are over in about 6 weeks and people can get back to talking about something less freaking tedious. As far as the political debate goes, there isn't one. We have two groups of people slagging off the other camp the whole time like groups of sophomoric sports fans. Obama's the 'worst president ever', Mitt Romney ties his dog on his freaking car and likes firing people. It's all a big heap of sh!t. I should stop reading the political threads. I quite like reading about George's surgical adventures and even looking at aerial photography. Tomorrow is LOLCATS. Best day of the week. |

I apologize if my obnoxious tirade sounds like a Brit bashing your country, that's not what I meant to do at all. It's the same everywhere. I should probably shut up now. |

I don't like socialism either, but for me Obama just appears like yet another in the long line of opportunistic and brash republocrats residing and governing south of the border. |
