When was the last time you did that?

I got some Pogorelich recordings - the Liszt Sonata, LvB C- sonata, Brahms, and some Scriabin. 3 discs in all.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

I buy them all the time. I want something physical when I get music.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

Funny, I usually want some music when I get physical.

I've been buying vinyl. Nowadays it often includes a digital version as well, that you have to download.

I converted all my audio CDs into MP3s. I don't need them anymore, except maybe to prove that I own these recordings.

What did you use to encode them? What bitrate?

I use "Exact Audio Copy" (EAC), usually at 256KBit/s or the highest quality level of VBR. EAC is surprisingly good at ripping damaged audio CDs.

I've been thinking the same of late. It's just more simple. Go to shelf. Get CD. Pop it in. Play.
I guess I'm lucky I don't own a gazillion CDs.
I still like radio. This supplements my little CD collection.

Yep, blondie, same here. I listen to radio as often as CDs, especially if I'm in the middle of a really big kitchen project/mess. I like having a five-disc CD player for my kitchen stereo. Load'er up and let's party!! :woot:

Sometimes hubby has to ask me to tone it down in the kitchen, and he's on the other side of the house, about 30 to 40 feet away. I have nice speakers. :whome:

Like John, I buy them all the time, mostly from amazon or thrift stores. I also buy a CD at pretty much every concert I go to. We have a shelf of signed CDs. Can't sign a digital copy. . . or a digital book, come to think of it.
We're all mad here!

Ain't that the truth.

I must admit I use a good deal many eBooks, but mostly for research. You get the thing instantly downloaded and that search function is fanTASTIC.

But for books I care about, give me a hard copy every time. And, when I buy used from depositories in the U.K., I occasionally get autographed copies. Bonus!
