Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Opportune timing. I'm watching a Nat Geo documentary consisting of pictures taken by various SS personnel at Auschwitz and Birkenau.

Good grief. It's amazing how resilient the human spirit is.

hmmm, how times have changed for a Sunday night. I remember having to suffer through "You Asked For It," then Mutual of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom" (bor-ring) then enjoying Disney for an hour (always hoping for cartoons, esp. Donald Duck) and finally "Bonanza." That was THE programming on a Sunday evening.

But, Auschwitz/Birkenau is pretty cool for a Sunday eve, too. . .

(I have no point. Just think'n back on Sunday TV as family night, all of us in the living room, staring at the tube. . .)

Heh. I remember watching 'Wild Kingdom'. But '60 minutes' began the lineup for us on Sunday nights. Mom even made dinner early so we could watch it.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

I was watching that too, Mik - really good program.

I hope our students are being taught these things - not just in terms of a horrible historical aberration, but as a recurring theme in human history. It can happen again, it has happened again and is happening today. Perhaps not at that level of lethal organization, but genocide is still with us.
