Evgeny Kissin playing Beethoven's C minor variations. I started working on these right after I bought my Bosie. My father, a very accomplished pianist in his day, said to me at the time, "if you can do these justice then you deserve that piano. If not, you don't". He visited a few months later, and I played them for him. He thought I did them justice, though Kissin does a slightly better job I'd have to say. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mjAUAQWTqE&feature=related |

By the way, George and other Schubert fans will recognize the opening to this - Schubert's late C- sonata opens with an homage to the piece. |
