She does have one thing in common with Rush Limbaugh. She's been pwn3d by Stephen Colbert. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTBdrJHXvEo |

Ok, it's Sunday evening, so I have a few moments to spare to explain the silly to the self-opaque.
You might have made more sense using Liberace, but he was one of the highest paid entertainers, and wasn't strictly classical. Horowitz was the best paid classical pianist for many years. Would you care to submit Horowitz was not outstanding at what he did?
When viewing a pop entertainer through the lens of his primary instrument? Yes. The last couple of pianists I know who have had a platterful of hit recordings between them.
Depends on how you view it. If speaking strictly monetarily, I supppose few young men move south to try to make their fortunes in the non-existent stock markets of Baton Rouge.
Among the best, yes. NCIS is also very good, but I'm waiting for Sunday Night Football to come back. Now, that's a show!
I've read both Hemingway and Brown. Hemingway is vastly over-rated. In terms of sales, both pale next to Rowling, who can out-write (and yes, I said that with a straight face) either one of them.
It's certainly the most entertaing spectacle, is it not?
Bill Gates may not be the best person, but he may be the best philanthropist. Philanthropy matters. Remember that next time you step into Carnegie Hall.
As long as their news isn't as biased.
In many ways, yes.
I thought The Artist was the highest grossing silent movie in many decades?
What's your soul worth, Dave? |

F*cking hell, Jolly. I can take a joke as well as the next man, but that's fighting talk. I'm guessing the Saint Paddy's festivities are still going on in your neck of the woods. The only other explanation I can think of is someone's hacked your account. |

If I want to be entertained, I generally want to watch comedy shows or a drama, not some overpaid blowhard ranting on about politics. YMMV, obviously, but if a nuclear bomb was to fall, and I had to choose between BBC drama and Fox News, I'm afraid to say that Bill O'Reilly would be the one going for a very uncomfortable conversation with his maker. In fact, even if a nuclear bomb wasn't to fall, that would be my preferred option. |

I'm more Irish than he is. Actually, O'Reilly would have made an excellent Irish politician. Those f*ckers act righteous and shout all the time too, and then frequently get caught stealing the hotel silverware. |

The organization itself, not necessarily the individual members. They also have their own country. |

The proposal on the table is that having more money = better. The Catholic Church has more money than any other denomination, therefore... The "country" thing is a question mark. Is having your own country better than having more money? |

I suppose it's what's currently on the floor for discussion but I reject the premise. More money is an indication of one quality only and that's more money. I think it has nothing to do with quality or what's "better" or "worse" regardless of the specifics, and it sure has nothing at all to do with religion. As for "having your own country," that has to do with political history and is unrelated to money or some concept of "better" or "worse". |

That's just about the most ridiculous thing I've read here, Jolly. I'm guessing you don't even get/read the BBC. That, or you're really out to lunch. |

Fox News is to the BBC what Televangelism is to going to a church. The church is f*cking boring, and the pastor's trophy-wife doesn't have a nice rack, but at least you're not giving money to some rabble-rousing scumbag who's going to use it to bribe politicians. In addition, the people at the church are at least trying to do the right thing. |
