Finally
See?

Now you made me seek out Lisztomania (another Ken Russell film) on YouTube.

Roger Daltry as Franz Liszt? Why not?

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Terrific article. I love Charles Rosen's writing. His playing, not as much.

one of the angels
that was a great article.. I like Lizst. he was a working pianist, not always the showman.. His 30 or 60 songs and organ works are pretty neat, ethnic and not that difficult.. He was a brilliant pianist and chose to play concepts with simplicity in spite of his bravissimo technique etc.

Many of his works of course I could not begin to play.

check out this beautiful organ piece... not that difficult in spite of how wondrous it sounds.. i could learn this and I am not that good of a pianist or organist. I have dabbled shall we say and can almost sight read it. His songs are just like the musical accompaniments i play in churches.. accomodating but not difficult. a very very smart accompanist he was.

and he was cute. very cute.

it behooves me to behold
