Grade 5 band concert this morning. The started playing together as a band at the end of September, most of them had not touched their instruments before that point either. I thought they did quite well. They had about 10 songs down. Sorry about the crappy recording, I was standing at the back with my iPad at arms length, and then at the end I realised I was supposed to be clapping... You get the general idea anyway ![]()

10 songs is pretty good! My kids started in grade 5 or 6 and at their concerts (usually with four different band groups) they normally only do about 3 numbers. |

They are well on their way. You are lucky to have this in 5th grade. I remember watching the 5th grade concerts well, lots of fun. |
