Sure, full time employees come with all kinds of regulatory requirements who needs that?

Go with the temps, avoid imperial entanglements.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

There are many more opportunities for casual work here than back home, and doesn't have attached to it any negative stigma about gaps in work history, etc; if you work just as long as you have to, nobody cares.

I hear the system is still a crippled version of what it used to be, but it's still better than anything in the U.S.

The situation described in the article isn't much better even when the logistics operation actually hires the worker. I have a brother who's been locked in that hell for well more than a decade.

The original Blue Collar

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dV1v6FmB4P0

Give me a job, give me security
Give me a chance to survive
I知 just a poor soul in the unemployment line
My god, I知 hardly alive
My mother and father, my wife and my friends
I see them laugh in my face
But I致e got the power, and I致e got the will
I知 not a charity case

I値l take those long nights, impossible odds
Keeping my eye to the keyhole
If it takes all that to be just what I am
I知 gonna be a blue collar man

Make me an offer that I can稚 refuse
Make me respectable, man
This is my last time in the unemployment line
So like it or not I値l take those

Long nights, impossible odds
Keeping my back to the wall
If it takes all that to be just what I am
I知 gonna be a blue collar man

Keeping my mind on a better life
When happiness is only a heartbeat away
Paradise, can it be all I heard it was
I close my eyes and maybe I知 already there

That song was after high school. It was in that vast wasteland of godawful mid-70's bands like Styx, Kansas, Boston Bad Company and the like.

The problem was most of these bands had well trained musicians in them and STILL produced horrid screechings.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

To you it doesn't.

Boston was one of a kind. An awesome blend of music and sound engineering. Very talented musicians all around too.

Brad Delp, awesome singer, RIP.

Tom Sholtz , always rated very high by fellow guitar players.

Come on D'oh, help me out here, they're your hometown boys!

I never could warm up to any of those bands. They would have been one-hit wonders if everyone had my taste.

You don't have to read it. It's still sort of a free country.

Come on D'oh, help me out here, they're your hometown boys!

A couple of years ago Mrs. D'Oh was organising a fundraiser for the school - one of the other mothers said 'my husband knows one of the former members of Boston- they could play at the auction!'

We just said 'naaaaah'.

One day you'll get into an argument about whether Britney Spears or The Spice Girls are the best evah, and then you'll realise that you're old too.

he 19-year-old singer-actress showed off some extreme cleavage Sunday at the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute in Los Angeles. Wearing a plunging Robert Cavalli yellow dress, her buxom look led many to believe she'd had a boob job, but Cyrus says that's not the case.

"Thank you for the compliment, but these babies are all mine," the former Disney star tweeted. "I wish [people would] realize you don't have to be fake to be beautiful!"
