It seems like every morning I stop in at a local coffee shop, there are two guys from the office park across the street in line in front of me. They are obnoxiously loud talkers, take freakin forever to decide what they are going to get and place their order, are constantly laughing and joking over the most inane stuff, then while one guy is at the cream/sugar bar mixing his coffee, the other guy stands there next to him (even though he doesn't use it) talking to him and preventing anybody else from using the bar. By the time they are finished, a line 15 people deep has formed behind them. I've tried asking politely for them to hurry up, or make room for others, or just reminding them that there are other people that have places to be. This usually gets them picking up the pace from full blown snail to perhaps half 3 toed sloth. it alsodoes nothing to stop the obnoxious banter between the two. I've tried adjusting my schedule to get there earlier to no avail. I finally realize that there is no other choice but full scale arching.

Guide me, O Master.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

You need this. Apply judiciously whenever they are in your way. I'm Aqua's muse, by the way, at least when it comes to vengance.

I would LOVE to see Aqua pull out the spite card in person there. I'm sure his strategy would be to get to the coffee shop an hour early and WAIT for those folks to come in. Right as they enter, he'd jump up and stand right in front of them. He'd then take excruciatingly long to order and would (the best part) laugh obnoxiously LOUD at everything those 2 guys said. He'd also take his sweet ass time deciding what to use at the cream/sugar bar. Oh what a sight that would be.

As actor Steven Martin used to say “Well, excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me!”. Have everyone in line say it.

If a line that long queues up in front of the cream and sugar counter, then it hasn’t escaped the notice of the manager. Mention it to the manager. Let him deal with them.

I fully support that.

Or, you know what? Spill some hot coffee on a couple shirts, that's also another good alternative. Oh so sorry, so sorry! Was trying to get to the creamer, y'see! And then give them a stone cold look, just for a second, so that they know damn well it was deliberate. Then apologize again and leave.

Actually, some fairly serious **** has gone down with our neighbors here recently and that's taken up a bit of my time.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

i kind of was wondering where you were Aqua.. hope everything is ok.

you know L.D. I'd just seriously say to them.. "I am a bit crunched for time.. can you guys waste your time somewhere where it doens't impact my time?.. like over there?" I'd give them a quarter or something.. Sometimes people just don't know.. sometimes they are just showing off.
it behooves me to behold
