Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Its funny. That article almost exactly describes my experience with my IPad (which I love, BTW). A $4 stylus solved the fat finger problem quite well. The app navigation is a little clunky but I suspect that that will improve as time goes by. (You must remember this...) :)

For my eyes, the Kindle 2 (EInk screen) is still the best for straight text reading. Watching Netflix in bed is great on the IPad. If I need to really write something, I use my PC with an old IBM keyboard, the "clicky" type. Typing on screens is very clumsy at best.

Mrs. D'Oh has an iPad, and it really is wonderful. Having said that, I think I'm going to buy myself a Kindle (regular black and white) for books - I love what I've seen of the screen, and I particularly love the price.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

HOLY CARP!!!
We have both an iPad2 and the new $79 Kindle. For reading proper e-books (not PDFs), the Kindle is much better: It is much lighter, the battery lasts much longer, the display is better. PDFs work much better on the iPad of course.
