Resume please. We need to see if he passes muster.

Of course, you went out fishing with him. Did he happen to come back with you?

HOLY CARP!!!
Travis is Lindseys' latest boyfriend. She has a track record of picking 'em that hasn't exactly met her fathers standards. After fishing with this guy for 2 days and watching my daughter interact with him, she may.... I say MAY, have finally gotten it right. I thoroughly enjoyed him this weekend, but more importantly, she seemed happy. If my daughters happy, then I'm happy for her. That's all that counts in my book.

If he should stick around, I'll get a pic for the forum. Right now, he's just in contention.

She did tell me, of all the recent boyfriends, this is the first one that wanted to come down to the bay and go fishing. This boy has promise. :D

Have you told him yet about your gun collection and the nervous twitch you've had ever since 'Nam?

He went out on the boat with you. That would indicate a lack of deviousness to me. But if not, just take him fishing again. A boat suitable for deep water is much better than a gun collection.

Good for Lindsey. Mazel tov.

I hold off on that until she tells me she's had enough of him and he won't leave her alone. :D

In all seriousness, I've been through this before with my oldest daughter. I always keep the dude at arms length until my daughter decides to keep 'em or toss 'em. What else can ya do? No sense in acquiring a fishing buddy your daughter can't stand, right?

Improv, I remember having to call my dad from college to tell him I had broken off my relationship with a boyfriend, the one that was my dad's great buddy. They had lots of interests in common, and they genuinely liked each other. When I was away at college, the two of them would hang out together sometimes. My dad was soooooo bummed to get that call. I really felt bad for him.

Luckily, I found a better one that we could both like. My dad thought the world of my hubby. (Dad died in an accident in 1989.)
