Again, maybe.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Da Bearsss.

What a bunch of maroons.

THey blow a 10 - 0 lead in the fourth quarter. With two minutes left, and still leading 10 - 7, they managed to lose the game.

It's a Chicago tradition, I tell ya. Like I said, those Filipino businessmen are going to buy the Bears, move them to the Philippines, and re-name them "The Manila Folders."

I'm wondering when he's going to finally break down and throw himself a touchdown pass.

I don't know, though. I heard the government is going to ask him to take some time away to deal with that whole Iran thing.

Props to the kicker. Making a 59-yarder to tie, then a 51-yarder to win, all in very cold conditions. Tebow finds a way to win, but I'm still not sure what the controversy is about. He's played only 1 team with a winning record so far, so it's not like he's faced the Steelers or anything.

Hey winning is winning man. Next week we'll figure out if the Broncos can beat a winning team.

It wasn't that cold by the way. Good football weather.

(Hmmm, maybe I should go to church this week.)

I don't know, I heard a rumor that they might put Jerome Bettis in a Tebow jersey again, like they did against Detroit when they needed Tebow in Pakistan.

Thanks Dan - I was going to correct 89th on the temp.
It was a glorious day in Denver - warm enough to drink at the game!

So refreshing to see someone on the field turning momentum around. This has been a huge issue for the donkeys ever since Elway retired. Nobody's been able to turn the team into fighters when the chips are down.
Tebow - say what you will - is leading these guys, getting them charged up, and joyfully fighting his way to the end. So far that has equalled winning - it won't always of course, but the attitude is worth a ton.
Watching Fox talk after the game, and listening to Champ, Tebow, etc. - it's clear that this is a different team from the top down than in years past.

It's exciting.
I haven't been interested in the Broncos in a decade, and it's changing now.

Might have been 25, but with the sun shining and no wind, 25 ain't so bad for football.

kb, did you get to the game? Where are your seats? I certainly did a bit of imbibing while I was there.

25 degrees in 15% RH in the Colorado sun is like 70.
I walked out two mornings ago and it was in the teens. I tossed some snow on my windshield to wipe off some grime (washer was frozen solid and wouldn't spray). Since I park facing south, my windshield was hot - I put snow on and it immediately melted into water and began steaming.
I love it here...

You freeze in minutes in the shade, and burn up in the sun - when people talk about dressing in layers this is why. We'll be short sleeves in low temps while moving in the sun, and then immediately freeze when we walk out of the sun.
Something like living on Mars I suppose.

At least on the field they don't have to worry about snow blindness. :)

Dan - no, I wasn't there.
My uncle has season tickets, but I think I've fallen out of favor with his generous ticket giving, since I haven't wanted to go to a game for a few seasons now.
I hate dealing with the crowds, parking downtown, etc.
I know the RTD is the way to go - but I somehow always forget and end up driving down and hating the mile walk to the stadium.

I've been here 8 years, have a friend with season tickets, live pretty much within walking distance of Gillette Stadium, and have yet to see a game. Hell, I haven't even seen an entire quarter.

Maybe one day I'll spend a freezing cold Sunday afternoon watching a load of blokes in silver pants running around, and then again, maybe I won't.

My son got to meet cheerleaders at his school the year they went undefeated. :veryangry:
