HOLY CARP!!!
We have a guest speaker at church tomorrow; no sermon to have prepared. So, write that paper all day yesterday, then hospital 11p-7a, then class 9a-4p. And after that? Not a darned thing. I'm sittin' here in my flannel pajamas, eating a hot dog and watching television. Sure, I still have 3 major papers to write by Thursday morning, but tonight? Nothing. Ahhhh...^_^

I'm enjoying my night in too. Don't have to work tomorrow morning, so I can sleep in. :snooze:
And how are you today?

Dewey, I had a rather less than normal Saturday night. Firstly I was home alone, unusual but quite pleasant in a way; then an ex Bishop of Singapore rang up (he's a rather distant relative by marriage)

I had just been contemplating what a waste of time caring about certain things at work were, and like a grandfather with 50 years experience of something, shrugging my shoulders and simply letting 'the children' do what they want.
I had just been contemplating that one can do nothing with the true children in your life, specifically about my relationship with my 16 year old.
I had just been resolving in my self doubt to ensure ten minutes every morning for quiet time instead of housework, and ten minutes for some ki excercises, before waking the family up, and then...
the phone rang.

The old Bishop started by calling me an angel.

Funny how little things can add up and catch up with you. GOD works in mysterious ways.

Every morning the soul is once again as good as new, and again one offers it to one's brothers & sisters in life.
