Seared tuna with wasabi-soy marinade,

Farmers market salad with aged gouda and roasted portabellos.

I made it with arugula and mizuno. I followed the recipe except I added a bit of honey to the dressing and some toasted hazelnuts to the salad.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
Sounds good. I had a small strip steak, pan roasted a la GeorgeK, and a broccoli-cauliflower medley with a little garlic oil and parmesan.

Hot dogs, hamburgers, cold cokes and hot chocolate afterwards.

HOLY CARP!!!
Historically around this time of year, delivery people come to my door to give me candy. Not sure why, but I don't generally like solicitors so I only open the door long enough to grab it. Guess they're probably promotional freebies to try to get me to switch phone carriers or something.

Anyway, tonight I anticipate Milky Ways and Snickers for dinner.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

Chicken fajitas..sort of ...chicken from the freezer, onions pepper, 4 different chili powders, garlic etc...cooked in foil on the grill served with tortillas and avocado...Using up what is in the freezer in our 36 th hour without power...Tomorrow...burgers, probably crumbled into tomato sauce over ravioli cooked on the Coleman propane stove...then it will be take out as there will be nothing edible left...

No time to cook tonight. A run after work, lit the pumpkins, the doorbell is ringing.

Man, those Kit Kats are tasty.

The tiny bit of leftover pot roast with a few hunks of good bread and water. Dessert is a mini Baby Ruth.
And how are you today?

one of the angels
it was one of the last grilling days, so i marinated chicken breast in green curry paste and soy sauce, cut up veggies including a microwaved sweet potato, made a salad and a wild rice, basmati rice medley. i was hoping to have enough food leftover for fajitas tonite.. but no.... the boys had to keep eating all nite long.

edit the chicken, peppers and onions are definitely gone.. so now i have to come up with something good for dinner and it will be warm.. we can't grill because there is a burn ban and we are totally surrounded by leaves. they need some work.

maybe a fancy schmanzy sub with real tomato soup (basil and cream).

lentil soup sounds great for tomorrow. i certainly have a superfluousity of those lentils (and sausage)... maybe make some more sour dough bread.
