HOLY CARP!!!
I am cooking a pot roast of sorts right now. It was going to be beef stew, but I decided that's too much effort, so turned it into pot roast. The problem is the cut of beef isn't for roasts, so I messed up and it's done before the veggies. So, I just took it out and when the veggies are almost done I'm putting it back in to get the flavors mixed.
And how are you today?

Probably a lamb chop and arugula salad. I'm in batchelor mode as my bride just left for Wisconsin.

Mik, that sounds good! To me, bachelor mode = fast food. Don't know why, because a lot of the bachelors I know (and non-bachelors) can cook.

And the roast turned out to be quite tasty. The beef's a bit more done than I like, but it's still not very dry.

Good enough that I have to keep shooing Martha away. She's really bad about begging.

Not hungry enough for meat. Just having the salad. Easiest thing in the world and really good. Just get a bunch of arugula, maybe 1 tsp to 1 T olive oil, a little lemon juice, a T or 2 of parmesan and a few pine nuts. A little sea salt of you want.
