Sweet list, but I have a feeling it should have been titled "the 50 scary movies that the list-maker knows about." Jaws? Seriously? It's a fantastic movie but in terms of scariness it just can't cut it. Also, not nearly as many Japanese movies on there as there should have been, and it appears that they have a bias towards the remakes. (It's just true. British movies excel in dry humor, France does great quirky romances, we do action movies, and the Japanese just plain know how to scare the sh!t out of you.) Whoever made the list should see Audition and then get back to me about scary. |

Audition is usually ranked in most people's top ten list. Never seen it. |
