Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

I started doing the test, but all it really taught me was that there aren't nearly enough words for 'boredom'.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

34,200. But I'm fluent in three languages with a decent command of a fourth, and this only tested one.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

To tell the truth, I don't put much stock in vocab anyway. It's always good to learn new words of course, but more important still is using the right ones.

true, the test only asked if you knew a definition for the word, not testing whether it was correct. :lol2:

I also wonder about the words they chose. Usually people equate latinate vocabulary for sophisticated/edumacated, but there are just as many Anglo-Saxon and French words in the language.

I just clicked "continue" 3 times without selecting any words, and it says I know "20 Words". That's BS...the only word I knew was "Continue"!

HOLY CARP!!!
I got 35,100. I'm not sure I put a lot of stock into it, but it probably says something that after I was done the test I looked up some of the words I didn't know...
