Is there a way to export an EXCEL spread sheet to a high resolution JPG or BMP? I have been using the print screen function and editing in photoshop, which is laborious....

Maybe you want the Snipping Tool.

Find it under All Programs --> Accessories in Windows 7
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Is the snipping tool sorta like Snagit, which does a screen capture into a jpg (or whatever) type of file?

On a Mac, "print" it to a PDF file, then you it will be scalable fonts for text and vector graphics for charts, things that you can later scale to whatever size you like and still look good.

Might work for Windows too, if you have a way to export it to PDF (e.g., using CutePDF, a free program).

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
On Excel 2010, go

FILE

SAVE AND SEND

SAVE TO PDF

I use Primo PDF for this - print to a PDF - it is free and it works well for me.

I used it on Win XP and now on Win 7

And as Mik said it is now built into Office

I don't know snagit, but the Snipping Tool comes with Win 7
- Start it
- Drag a rectangle around the area you want, or a specific window, or the whole screen
- Save as jpg, gif, png

Snagit is AMAZING. I used the snipping tool until I found Snagit. Love love love.

Have you tried taking a picture of your computer monitor? Then it would be a JPEG. :hat:

I am using Kodak T-MAX 400 with my tripod mounted Nikon N50 with a 70mm lens set to F8, then getting it developed at 8x10 b/w, then scanning it to 300 dpi resolution to get a jpeg. It only takes seven working days to get the film back from the developer. Is there a simpler and quicker way to do that?

You could hire a wandering band of Italian artists to paint a picture of your screen, and then scan that in.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

Mik and Ax: Thanks for the PDF tip. I was able to PDF in Acrobat at tabloid size, then export the images and crop to size, getting 200 dpi, which was sufficient.
