I'd be very clear that there is a cost .. you could offer options (10% off and pay later for family members) compensation later.. a contract trading services. I don't know.. I don't think anyone should be obligated to family members (Of course I have a lot of them and seem to work much harder). I frequently host get together's and lately I've had to ASK for contributions of shared expenses. I've played my share of weddings for family members and I don't give them a gift.. I'd rather give a gift to tell you the truth. That should not have to happen.. they should offer to compensate before asking for something for free. The only thing i volunteer for professional services is funerals for fallen soldiers. I volunteer my time otherwise willingly but not at disadvantage (my time) to myself.
