I am so adjective that I verb nouns!

Good for them. Agri-renewables? I wouldn't have thought Scotland had sufficient year round farm land and climate to pull that off. Wind makes sense. Solar seems problematic. Geo-thermal??? |

If everybody in Scotland wore a hat with a little water-catching turbine on it, they could probably produce enough hydro-electric power to supply the entire Northern hemisphere with electricity. If they went one step further, and hooked up methane-harvesting facilities in 35% of Glasgow bars, the Southern hemisphere would be covered too. |

Good for Scotland (my heritage). Aim high...even if they hit 80%, that's great. |

Yes, great, that means more oil for us. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

Does Scotland have a fjord-like coastline conducive to slow turbine technology? |

They call them Sea Lochs. It would be a great shame to ruin their beauty with bloody windmills, IMO. |

Slow turbine technology ain't windmills. It's hydroelectric power. Bloody Brit.... |

Oops. OK, it would be a shame to spoil their beauty with bloody hydro-electric plants. Actually, I seem to think Scotland already has quite a bit of hydro-electric power - the highlands of Scotland are just begging for it. Lots of high ground, tons of rain, and pretty much bugger all else. |

If anyone can do it, they can. All that windy coastline and only 5MM people. |
| In my defense, I was left unsupervised. | |

I figure they'll just harness the static electricity from those wool kilts. |
| The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it. | |
