Mik, I think the spelling you're looking for is OH! IO!

Welcome Cat! Pull up a chair and stay a while.
Yes, Cat do stay.
Just don't pee on the rug or scratch up the furniture.

Plus, if you bring a friend we can say, "Look who the cat dragged in."

Coincidentally, that's also the hospital chaplain's goal. It is also the goal of the pastor in a parish setting, although the parish pastor has a little more leeway in nudging/guiding/advising since presumably s/he and the parishioner are at least of the same faith, and the same faith tradition. Unfortunately, a lot of pastors cross the line into "let me tell you what you need, and what you need to do" mode, which is very rarely the right path.

Hello, Catraoine. I do hope you find some entertainment or enjoyment here and stay awhile. Eventually, you'll figure out who the real people (or primary illusions) are here and who are sock puppets for fun and/or mayhem.

I have a passing acquaintance with Australia, having lived there for three years and having two daughters who were born there.

Seeing Swan Lake 54 times must qualify as some sort of record. How many different dance companies and venues did that encompass?

Big Al
Hi Big Al, I take as I find but I can work out the spoons from the pots pretty quickly, but again without the spoons everything in the pot can congeal. :D

Where abouts in Oz did you live?

I am not sure if seeing a certain ballet 54 times is a record; there are a lot of us ballet addicts around, but hey if it comes here again I shall see it again.
I have seen it perfomred by many different companies from all over the world including the USA, theonly one I did not like that much was performed by a French Ballet Company, they did their own interpretation of the story.......never a good idea, if it isn't broken, then leave it alone !

A person I had been working with for some time surprised me at the end of our ‘work’ together with a gift of a pair of ballet shoes that she got from one of the Prima Ballerina’s of the Australian Ballet Company, she had them signed for me and they had been worn during a performance of ‘The Merry Widow’, what shocked us both was that they actually fitted me to. It had taken her over six months to achieve this… so I often sit with my feet up on the coffee table while wearing the ballet shoes…I love being so ‘ not normal’……

I could not agree with you more….and not just Pastor's or any other religious based ‘counselling’…. Far too many in my profession take the stance that 'they know best' and nobody knows what is really in the best interests of another person across the board.. I have lost count over the years of how many people have to sort through the consequences of being ‘told’ what do by ‘professionals’ before they can even begin to look at the reason why they have sought help in the first place. I have a real soap box reaction to this kind of emotional control by someone who has a piece of paper which simply means they have passed exams.. :mad2:

I just did a Zetaboard search.....I was a moderator of another Forum that was hosted by Zetaboards but resigned a short time ago, they are lots of forums of course but this one is active and I could have a sneaky peak at the content and it appealed to me...... it still does !

What's a meta for, Claude?
I ain't really sure.

But Uncle Cletus is out back puttin' a new transmission in the tractor, so I aksed him and he said "Tell them that a meta is a prefix used in English (and other Greek-owing languages) to indicate a concept which is an abstraction from another concept, used to complete or add to the latter."

Now I ain't got no idea what he wuz sayin', but I reckon if he can change a tractor transmission he orta be able to figger out what a meta is fur...
