is the box office release record in the US, set by The Dark Knight in 2008. Harry Potter 6 has the record worldwide at $394,000,000 in 2009. Where do you think HP8DH2 comes in? I'm going to guess $175,000,000 domestically $450,000,000 worldwide. What say you? |

If they are going to be this successful we should raise taxes on those movie makers. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

Great reviews, too. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/harry_potter_and_the_deathly_hallows_part_2/ Word of mouth has a lot to do with Saturday & Sunday results. |

3D. It was great, although the 3D in this case was not nearly the enhancement that it was for Avatar. |

How do modern 3D movies work? Do they give you cardboard glasses like in the old days? |

There's an estimate now of $168,000,000 http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-07-17/-harry-potter-finale-sets-record-168-6-million-at-box-office.html I think they are very much underestimating the return viewer effect. M&M's went last night, and is trying desperately to convince me to go with her to see it tonight, as she wants to watch it again asap. I'm still holding to my 175,000,000 |

$475,000,000 globally. Theater staying power might be a month or so. I wonder if that month, and later DVD purchases can catch it up to Avatar. |
