I don't think so. The News of the World isn't really a newspaper, it's more the equivalent of the National Enquirer. The freedom of the press in the US and UK isn't really that different for practical purposes when it comes to scummy stories - the only real difference is in areas that impinge on national security and are covered by the Official Secrets Act. |
