Cheers

This afternoon they're expecting the temperature to drop 13 degrees in the course of an hour, then rise back up again an hour later.

That hour is the hour that Al Gore doesn't break wind. Methane, windbag, and all that, you know. |

Welcome to my nightmare. Chinooks here cause huge rapid swings in winter. Yet it's the lead up to the meltdown that occurs [the reverse of what you describe]. But, hence, migraines for many of us adults. 'Hope this doesn't happen for you folks. |

HOLY CARP!!!

Actually Blondie what jon has posted is common occurence throughout Alberta during summer. The intense fast moving low pressure thunder storm cells that seemingly come out of nowhere around rush hour or on weekends when everyone is on the patio or deck enjoying a fine sunny day and blow cold wind from a northwesterly diection, soak everything down with a combo of rain and sometimes hail. By 7:00 pm the waether is pretty much is back to where it was a half hour before the stray cloud hit. |

Yes true. I just remain numbed & bummed after our winters here. There are just 2 times per day without wind here .. 0800 & 2000. We pretty much suck prairie dust during the day. |

Weird weather. Wildfires in Alaska right now, the longest drought since the 1920's. Looks like we got all their rain (Oregon), another soakingly wet day. |
