Do you think people in their 20s and 30s different from state to state?

I know this is a broad question, but if you have traveled throughout the USA, do you find that in some states this age group may be more self-centered than in other states?

I don't think it's particularly a "state" thing; I think it's a "parenting/upbringing" thing. I've found some stellar people in those ages, and some real clods, wherever I've traveled.

I wouldn't even say upbringing, necessarily. Just different experiences people have. You can be a darn responsible and level-headed 14-year-old, or a 60-year-old clod, no matter where you happen to live.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

Good points. But where I grew up, young people tend to take responsibility early, are expected to work and contribute, are expected to do right and not expect reward. Small town Great Plains life still goes on.

It's rumoured that much the same thing has been said about America. Not by me, obviously - that would be a terrible thing to contemplate!

Where I grew up, people tend to take things that don't belong to them early. They generally set themselves very low expectations, which they unfortunately then fail to achieve.

Mine as well, but IMO every place has its slackers, delinquents, and miscreants.

And without them, the world would be a poorer place. Not poorer financially, obviously.
