Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

ZOOOOOM!
See this right here is exactly why I love Japan.

Where else in the world can you truly do whatever the hell you want and still come out looking normal by comparison?
I cite irreconcilable differences.

WTF!
"Any man who would make an X rated movie should be forced to take his daughter to see it". - John Wayne

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

Henry II: I marvel at you after all these years. Still like a democratic drawbridge: going down for everybody.

Eleanor: At my age there's not much traffic anymore.

If anything, the Japanese are generally quite good at separating fantasy from reality. No hysteria over how "violence in video games" would turn kids into violent thugs on the streets, no hysteria over how "sex in the media" would turn people into rapists and pedophiles. So in an overall conservative society, they manage to maintain pockets of near absolute freedom of expression.

Indeed true.

Anyone here ever see a Japanese horror film? No, I don't mean The Ring or The Grudge. I mean a real Japanese horror film. That **** will make your eyes bleed, it will. Yet no talk over there about violence in the media. Way to go, Japan.
