How could you pass up a color name like that? :lol2:

My new kitchen color is Svelte Sage, not that there will be much of it showing.

Antique White is the ceiling color.

They are spraying the primer coat today. Tuesday will be the top coat.

looks great!

However, I think you should have given more thought to "Singapore Sunset Saffron".

Kincaid, I was considering a light yellow for the walls, but with the golden oak, the gold Hobart, the gold and brown tiles, and the light maple floors, it might have been too much of the yellow/gold tones. But I love the name anyway. :)

Gorgeous colour. It will really look sharp with all those warm wood tones. Nice, subtle contrast. :thumb:

I'd love to have the job of coming up with paint colour names. You could sell any colour if you give it a sexy enough name.
I've been looking at colours for our bedroom. All sorts of mushrooms, and beach/sand names, but really, we're talking beige here. And I'll be honest, I'd have a really really hard time buying a can of paint called beige. That's so boring. :hat:

Some of the art tiles of the backsplash for the countertop and behind the range have moss-green and blue-green colors. This is like a cross between those shades of green, so it will tie it together. I'm not sure how it shows up on various monitors, but it's green with hints of gray, blue, and brown in it.

The ceiling color has a hint of yellow and brown. That's a nice tie-in with the tiles and flooring.

"Beigilliant Beigy Beigosity" has a nice ring to it.
But it has no yellowy tone, no golden cast. I've gotta have that for my morning room. Sunshine from the windows and the room. It helps me wake up in the morning. :lol2:

Well, I was referring to Sue's color selections. You already got a cool name for your paint, Brenda!

For Sue:

Beige, beige, bo-eige,
Banana-fana fo-feige
Fee-fi-mo-meige
Beige!

Aha! I see you were talking about Sue's beige. I missed her edit.

Go green. I'm lookig at kind of a greyed down mossy green for the clubhouse interior. It is 1978 cedar contemporary barn, with pine wainscoting, a pince ceiling and huge open cedar roof trusses. Multiple levels, conversation pits. Think Playboy country house circa 1978.

Sounds like a good colour. You'll need some orange in there if you really want to go '70s. Got an acorn fireplace?

Just had a peek at the Svelte Sage for the kitchen. It's wonderful! In a little while, I can look at the office wall colors. We're having a picture rail 16 inches from the ceiling, with a medium brown/green/gray/gold on the lower wall, a much deeper tone above the picture rail, and a lighter tone on the ceiling.

I just got scolded for trying to peek in the office. :lol2:

What is a pince ceiling?

(Let me know if you want to fill in those conversation pits. We have it down to a science)

Pine. It was a typo. Actually a prior board already put a raised floor over the conversation pit area. Said people were getting drunk and falling into it. I'd like to restore it to it's original architecture, but probably won't.

Ha! I hadn't thought of that. :lol2:

Or maybe it's an incentive to eat healthy?
