Arguing that there is one right way is narcissistic and futile, except for discussing things that are absolute, like what 2+2 equals .
Are you absolutely sure of that?
You know what I mean.
Pick another example if you like.

What is the most sure and absolutely universally true thing you can think of?
How bout, humans need oxygen to survive! ?

Kenny, turn up your irony meter's sensitivity a bit.

It was intended to be funny.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Well this thread has meandered through every other cesspool of controversy. Why not that hand wringer of a non event that supplanted evrything of local, national and international importance for at least a month back in 2005.

So you're saying the pope thinks Terry Shiavo should have been aborted? :tomato: :hide:

For the life of me I do not understand what Ax's problem is. But then, I don't understand the notion that someone's feelings are hurt because some truths about their religion was exposed to the light of day.

I think Dewey's posting of those pictures was just fine. I salute the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country. And I salute Dewey for taking the time to remind us of their sacrifice.

Some people are too thin skinned.

Well, I'm done with it, in any case.
I think that's the 3rd time you said that but hey, in 35 pages one is allowed some inconsistency.

By the way, Memorial day is tomorrow.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Huh? I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that the alleged virgin Mary had her son, purportedly God made man, cut eight days after he was born.

She willifully entered him into a covenant with......Himself.

Go figure, eh?

I guess one has to be an American to understand this discussion.
Clearly.

Why on earth the god/no god debate conflicts with taking time to remember American soldiers who have been killed in wars, is truly bizarre. And as was suggested, you could have just started another thread instead of putting all those pictures in the very silly rapture thread.
As you look out across those gravesides at Arlington or any other national cemetary, those aren't fingers point towards the sky.

The majority of those markers are crosses, with a liberal sprinkling of the Star of David.

Men fight for God and country, and there are few atheists in a foxhole...even in the Red Army of WWII.
