Renauda, you win for the biggest birthday thread ever! Pretty crafty of you to make us think this was all about discussing baptism and such, when it was really just the prelude to announcing your birthday. I am impressed by your creativity. I hope you had a lovely day with your family. Happy Birthday.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone but the real thanks should go to Kluurs. Something he wrote and quoted yesteday resonated with me and rendered this and whole lot of past threads and posts irrelevant. I'm no winner, Kluurs is. Doesn't mean though that I am now a believer in the hocus-pocus or the tradition of Abrahamic sky toddler. So we may all return to regular programming. |

Of course there's a God. It's just that God isn't some old man in a white robe with a long flowing white beard sitting on a throne in the clouds somewhere.. |

Well, one side says God created the entire universe by "speaking it" into existence, the other side says nothing exploded with such force that nothing spread out and created all the matter in the universe and flung the something that was created out of nothing to the furthest ends of that universe, all within the space of a nanosecond - so I'd say the burden of proof would be those who think that was just some random accident... and accident by the way that was so precise that had one little thing not happened precisely the way it happened none of the universe would exist, and all defying the laws of physics.... I don't know of any other random accident that happened with that kind of precision, do you? |

HOLY CARP!!!

Both of you are off the mark. Here's the complete truth: (original post) How the universe has come to be: The Truth of Cosmology, Theology, Intelligent Design, and Evolution Let's get few basic things cleared up:
Here's the complete and total truth about how it all really came to be: 7. Modern science has pretty much worked out the evolutionary map from what we see today as animals and plants back to the "primodial soup," and that's basically correct. Let's skip this part and work backwards. It's noted that the "evolution" was "guided" within the confines of "limits" and "standard constants" set by an Intelligent Designer. 6. Modern science has pretty much worked out the cosmology from what we observe today as planets, stars, galaxies, "black holes," etc. all the way to the "Big Bang." Let's skip this part too and work from the "Big Bang" and go backwards. It is also noted that the gradual formation of planets, stars, galaxies, "black holes," etc. was "guided" within the confines of "limits" and "standard constants" set by an Intelligent Designer. 5. An Intelligent Designer did set the initial condition for "Big Bang" to happen. What modern science and monotheistic "creator-god" based theology haven't got right is: "How that Intelligent Designer came to be?" 4. Truth is, the Intelligent Designers themselves are products of creationism and guided evolution. There is a large number of para-universes, each having anywhere from seven and quarter to 38 - 13/16 dimensions, each filled with trans-mutonic-bisenthium particles, quasi-tetronurineon-strings, and psuedo-quisaridium-thetabranes vibrating, moving, colliding, combining, and eventually forming what became the Intelligent Designers, one of whom created the Big Bang that gave birth to our universe, one of many he designed and created. 3. Of course, the vibration, movement, collision, and combinations of the trans-mutonic-bisenthium particles, supra-quasi-tetronurineon-strings, and psuedo-quisaridium-thetabranes, though seemingly "random" even to most of the Intelligent Designers, are actually operating within tight limits and, in that sense, precisely guided by yet a higher order Designer. 2. The higher order Designer, known as the Grand Original Designer, or GOD, created those large number of para-universes and set the initial conditions for each of them. One of which gave birth to our Intelligent Designer. 1. The GOD itself is a product of random chance. Its four base elemental materials are luminousitope-isochron, omni-zenthium, varianeum-sumaunicron, and equison. 0. The luminousitope-isochron, omni-zenthium, varianeum-sumaunicron, and equison are available in abundance and interact randomly in a fourty two dimensional super-para-universe that just is and has always been there. And that is how it all came to be. |

And Dewey, Your abuse of those pictures get on my nerves. It's more than fine that you want to pay respect to the fallen patriots, but the way you're doing it here, you're dishonoring them. Your use of pictures of their loved ones and their resting places here shows no respect. What message are you trying to convey here, that the fallen braves were in reality "raptured"? If you think this thread has already gone into a sh!thole, stuffing these pictures down that same hole ain't going to clean it up, just smudging more disgrace onto the pictures. You might as well go post those pictures in biker bars' bathroom stalls. If you want to listen to kluurs, then really shut up. If you want to pay respect to the fallen patriots, start a new thread and do it properly and I will join your there (heck, I will do that myself if I don't see it by Monday), or dedicate a sermon to them, if you can fit it into your theology. But posting these pictures here just ain't it. |

I'm going to keep posting them as a reminder of what this weekend is all about. These brave men and women died, leaving a terrible hole in the lives of their families, directly or indirectly for our rights - and our call to use those rights responsibly. To try to inject yet another round of "is there a God?" and "was the universe created by God directly or did it happen via the big bang," just in order to stir the pot, is really an irresponsible use of that right to free speech. For just one day - just one day - think about those who have given their lives for us in this country. Stay away from this kind of crap and just remember THEM. Just. one. day. |
