You would think it wouldn't take so long to fake something like that. |

|
I haven't paid a great deal of attention to this, but wasn't the Certificate of Live Birth the document that was originally released? |

That was the short form. This one is the long form which makes it, well, longer. |

Seems like that's what they call birth certificates. 'certificate of birth', 'birth certificate', kinda the same thing, no? The nutters were concerned about short form v long form. Here Wiki has Obama's short form and an image of a long form, which looks like what they just released. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birther#Release_of_the_birth_certificate |

First of all...Obama's mother's first name was STANLEY!?! The certificate released before was the short, electronic version...this is the original. I'm surprised it took him so long to release it, and even more surprised that he released it now when all of the birther talk is only hurting the GOP's image while also distracting from any news stories of his falling approval rating. Ironically the release of this certificate is another bad decision by Obama!

Top quality forgery takes time. Plus, they'll have had to ensure that none of those involved is able to divulge what went on, and then they'll have had to silence the silencers, if you take my meaning. |

I guess the picture of Iron Eyes means your comment was aimed at me. Let me remind you that I have never claimed he wasn't born in the US. All I've said was that it seemed suspicious to me that he would spend so much money trying to avoid producing it. Now that I've cleared that up for you, let me point out that Iron Eyes was not a real Indian, but was of Italian ancestry. So it's quite possible that you've been handed TWO wooden ![]()

True. There would likely be some loose ends in Kenya that need cleaning up and that might require an email campaign or two. |

(@ Larry) Easy enough ... you're not required to get a Social Security number unless and until you want to get paid doing work in the United States for which you are required to pay Social Security tax. If Obama first applied for such work while residing in Connecticut, then he would register to get a Social Security number as a resident in Connecticut, and be assigned a Social Security number reflecting his state of residency at that time. |

That information is what I call "accountant" info - 100% accurate, and 100% useless. For you see, Obama has never resided in Connecticut. In fact, unless he went there during his campaigning, Obama has never even been to Connecticut. |

OK, I gave you a theory of how a situation you claim is true could come to be. Now we're down to fact checking. 1. What's Obama's Social Security number? Let's first verify whether that is, indeed, a Connecticut Social Security number. 2. When was Obama's Social Security number assigned to him? The Social Security Administration changes its practice of assigning Social Security numbers from time to time, so it is important to know when Obama's Social Security number was issued so we can match that to the Social Security Administration's number assignment practice at the time. 3. Then, should results from 1 and 2 warrant, we'll verify whether/when Obama resided in Connecticut when he was assigned his Social Security number. |

(off topic) How the Social Security Administration assigned Social Security numbers: http://www.ssa.gov/history/ssn/geocard.html I recall that for a while after 9/11, banks started asking "where were you born" and matched your answer to your Social Security number as part of your identity verification process when you try to open a bank account. But then they stopped asking that question, presumably they eventually figured out that the two, place of birth and Social Security number, often do not correlate. |

If nothing else, this derails the Trump candidacy, which is probably good for the GOP. The other interesting question is this: Why now? This question has been at him like a mosquito |

My guess is because it was confined to the fringes until Trump put it all over the news. (not right wing blogs and talking heads, but news) I doubt they considered TinHatDaily's focus on the issue 'pressure'. |

No, thats not how conspiracy theorists operate. Evidence doesn't change their mind, rather it provides further 'evidence' of a cover up. And the more solid the evidence, the more it convinces them that the conspiracy is highly sophisticated and powerful. |

Also, keep in mind the campaign did address this back in 2008, to the satisfaction of the respectable parts of the GOP. After all, how often did you see this issue brought up at the National Review or in a Will or Krauthammer piece? (other than to express embarrassment at the ideological fringe) |
