Barry's not dumb. You don't get to be POTUS by being stupid, not in today's electoral climate. Outstanding scholar?...No, he's middle-of-the-road, but he gets brownie points for his skin color, in certain quarters.

And he's proven to be a good campaigner.

But much of his accension to the Presidency was being in the right place, at the right time, with the right message.

Didn't pass any judgments at all. I pointed out that this was the 50s, not today. This is who the woman was.
That's you passing judgement right there.
That's not judgement, but historical knowledge.

By the standards of the day, the lady in question was way past avant garde.

I am open minded. none of these 'birther issues' for me thankyouverymuch.

Ann got her doctorate, lived her life creatively, with dedication to the poor, to those who could benefit from her forethought. She chose to make a difference and really did.. profoundly impacting commerce for individuals. She believed in education, didn't abort her inconvenient baby. (ain't that a odd twist of events for the right to lifers?) She was dedicated to 'his' development while still doing her 'thing'.

I refer to her wiki page. ( I correct my original assertion that she died of breast cancer.. it was ovarian).

You're willing to risk the utter destruction of the United States as a nation just to have a little chuckle?

Sometimes I don't know what the hell you're talking about. This isn't about "birthers issues".

But as an aside, while we're on the subject of "birthers" - do you know who the original "birther" was? Hillary Clinton. That's right, the whole issue began when Hillary Clinton said during her campaign that she had detectives checking into whether or not Obama was eligible due to where he was born.

Now, back to the issue of the thread. I find it interesting how you lefties "think" (I'm trying to be generous..) Obama's mother is called "Ann", such a warm, personal, downright intimate way of mentioning her - yet "Sarah" is called PALIN...

"Ann" is such a wonderful person. "PALIN" is a nutcase not qualified for anything...

Next, "Ann" is described as a woman who "didn't abort an inconvenient baby" - "PALIN" is described as a woman who runs all over the country instead of taking care of her "moron baby", a baby which probably isn't even hers anyway, yada yada.

"Ann" "lived her life creatively", "PALIN" is just a stupid bitch out to make money. We could benefit from "Ann's" "forethought", but God help us if we listen to that religious nutcase "PALIN".

How do you people even tie your shoes?

"Ann" was a nasty hippy, she ran around with the scum of the earth, she had baby by a man married to someone else, and she abandoned him to chase after the wife beater. The kind of people she chose to hang around with were radical Marxists and communists, pornographers, anti-semites, and anti-american leftwingers. There is not one single thing about the woman of even the slightest redeeming value.

Palin has a solid marriage to only one man, she is a good mother, she has good morals, good values, is an overachiever, and if you want to bring up "inconvenient children", she chose to bear a special needs child and raise it and love it. I cannot find one single thing about her value system to question, and I'd say she's lived her life pretty "creatively" as well - she just didn't have to slum around with the scum of the earth to do it.

But she's a Conservative you see, so you lefties just can't bring yourself to say anything good about her. But you'd romanticize Satan himself if you thought he might be a liberal.

Here's a clue for you - he is.....

Both of those articles support my claim quite well.

Do your own homework. Type "Hillary Clinton stared the birther issue" in Google and read. You'll find thousands of articles, videos, etc.

Sorry guy, but it's just too well documented. Besides, I remember it myself, as I'm sure others do as well.

So if you're of a mindset that considers FDR to be a leftwing fruitcake, then the nation is always teetering on the brink.

I'm of the notion that FDR was damn near a communist himself, and we're still suffering the results of that idiot being elected president.

What's wrong Jon, do you have a comprehension problem or something?

Both support my claim. My suggestion that you do your own homework is because I have better things to do than continue to prove something that's already been proven just because you don't want to believe it.

George, I read the article and can't find the reference to Hillary's comment. Can you tell me what page and paragraph its on?
I was referring to the point that the original theory was floated by the Democrats, and one of the proponents (Phil Berg) is a lawyer who's a Democrat. 2nd page, 5th paragraph.
