With all the memories of the bad things that have happened on this day (or around this day), I wanted to share one really good memory for me. My first child was born at 11:20 PM PT 29 years ago today. He's grown into a fine young man and with 14 & 16 at home entering into "those" years, I'm certainly glad we got one out alive. Three boys and each one their own individual person but right now 29 is our light at the end of tunnel :)

and Yes he often dwells on so many horrible things that have happened on this day. He was in high school in Colorado when Columbine happened.

That's really nice to hear. My birthday is on the 20th, and it is impossible to not think of all the bad things that date reminds us of. So it's nice to see this; happy birthday to him.

That's great, Cathy. And yes, very good age to turn indeed!

It means that if we haven't done so already, we have precisely one last year to get out sh!t together!

I'm sure she'll come visit you anyway Aqua.

Congrats Cathy. Grownup children really are nice. It takes the sting away with the teenage years when you wanted to stuff them down the toilet.

I am no closer to having my "professional" act together than you are. You´ll just hit 30 before me, that´s all. :P
