Saturday I made some Thunder cookies to take with us for the drive on Sunday. I suspected daughter would need something portable for breakfast, so we could get on the road on time. Yep, some bananas and Thunder cookies did the trick for her. Hubby had some later in the day while we zoomed down the road in my truck, too.

Nothing else too special, except the roast with the rosemary/herb mustard glaze.

With Easter coming up, I think I'll make some Challah bread braids. Daughter has been asking for the Challah.

I have to plan my Easter menu, probably lamb.

I cooked from two recipes from the latest Bon Appetit on Sunday -- a slow-baked salmon brushed with olive oil, thyme, and lemon zest, and pearl couscous with saffron, green onions, and toasted pine nuts. Superb.

Maybe I'll make cookies this weekend. I want to try a new recipe.

I'm probably making lamb, but this ham recipe looks so interesting! Soaked in tea, then simmered in beer.

I can see that the soaking in water would reduce the saltiness, but does the tea help that?
