Only $454k? I sure wish rich people would pay their fair-share. Michelle must make a lot, as Barry's job doesn't pay anything close to that. |

I wanna see receipts! And not that damn generic blank receipt that Goodwill gives you to fill in your own amount.

Identifying narcissists isn't difficult. Just look for the person who is constantly fishing for compliments and admiration while breaking down over even the slightest bit of criticism. We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences.

Wrong. As reported the in article I linked to, most of the Obamas' income is from Barack Obama's book sales. |

As you no doubt has seen the chart posted by Big Al in the other thread: ![]() The Obamas are paying a higher effective tax rate compared to others at upper income brackets. Glad to see that you have come around to think that rich people should pay their fair-share, which I read as "paying substantially more than they are paying now." Please clarify if this reading is incorrect. As for your statement on Michelle's income, the article states that most of the Obama's income is from the sales of Barack Obama's books. |

Then you don't want to read this article about recent vice-presidents giving over the last decade. http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-09-12-biden-financial_N.htm Giving rates as low as 0.1% - ($120 in 1999 by one VP), I don't want to even mention the name |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Ax: Of course I haven't changed my position to think that the rich need to pay "substantially more" than they are. The chart you display isn't a very good comparison since it includes a large group of net-tax receivers, who aren't paying a dime "net," even though they have monies being witheld each pay check. |

As Larry said wrong. C'mon, show some integrity. You can dislike the man, but don't go making sh!t up. Much like Jon Kyl dislike/hate Planned Parenthood, that didn't make it right for him to make sh!t up (and then make an asinine statement about his making sh!t up on the Senate floor is not intended as a factual statement). There are legitimate criticism about the Obamas and/or Planned Parenthood that can be made based on honest facts. Stick to those. You should not aspire to be any less. |
