Just out of interest; do you skip video links embedded in threads?

I almost never follow a link in any of the TNCR threads that means I have to watch a video. It has to be something that I'm really interested in (like the flight of a new aircraft) for me to click on it. Ditto embedded YouTube videos. I much prefer to read articles for myself, than have a video presentation. Am I peculiar (well, we could debate that for weeks!), or do others also pass on embedded video links?

Example - 7year old gets plastic surgery - TNCR thread links to a yahoo video article. I stopped at that point and went on to another thread.

Very rarely watch linked videos or for that matter read linked articles.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

Yeah, i skipped that video also. The title was sufficent

I watch some videos though. Never when there's no explanation by the poster just a link.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

I skip threads about skipping videos, though.

I sometimes read linked news articles - if the first post gives some indication of what I'll be reading. When I get a thread title, click on it, and simply get a link to an article, I'm less likely to follow.

Videos I'll watch - though I prefer them embedded - also has to be subject matter that I'm interested in seeing.

I like videos of things that I hate and have no interest in. They make me want to repeatedly stab myself in the crotch with an icepick. It's great... I just cry a little on the inside.
