HOLY CARP!!!

Amazing. Wonder if they've been able to pin down the particular plane/flight/crew. Could be really meaningful for their families, too. |

It is amazing how different their perception of this differs from what it likely would have been earlier. Here they show keen interest, almost reverence for the find. 60 or 70 years ago they would likely have dragged it out of the ocean and set fire to it. |

HOLY CARP!!!

Isn't that guy's lavalier microphone up side down? Perhaps that's intentional when there's too much sibilance.

It looks to me like they've always known the plane was there, who the crew was, and even captured and imprisoned two of the crew. No, this wasn't a discovery, this was a "hey, remember that plane that went down over there? Let's send some equipment down and see if we can find any of it..." |
| The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it. | |

I guess the cool thing is that it is supposedly the only intact Dornier 17 that exists anywhere. Hopefully they can raise it get it on display. |

Yep. That would be pretty cool... Glad the families were already informed.

Maybe it's a new species of fish that disguises itself as a WWII plane? Evolution moves quick! |
