They only count people who are currently collecting unemployment and those who are applying for the first time. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand why using those figures is going to give you a false outcome.

There was a global recession, now there's a slow recovery. As tempting as it is to believe that one man was behind this, it's a load of bollocks. Even the awesomeness that is American Presidents doesn't have this kind of power. I'm tempted to say that even George Soros doesn't have this kind of influence, although obviously that can't be true.
