Here we go again. Murdoch and company should be barred from presenting news period.

Yeah because none of the other networks have made even bigger and more glaring "mistakes".

Oh yeah, that's right.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

So I don't hear you complaining about CBS, or Time, or NY Times which have all been guilty of far worse.

I would if I knew of specific cases like this. The article I posted documents 3 specific cases that have all just recently occurred. And never an admission of their obvious nefariousness, just an honest accident, yeah right. 1 time maybe, but 3 times?

Listen, I'm no Ru Paul supporter, it has nothing to do with who's getting screwed, it has everything to do with journalistic integrity, which time and time again, Fox has shown very little of.

I guess it's too much to ask news networks to just report the news instead of fabricating it. In the end, it will always be about the money to be made, regardless of how it's made.

I'm not disagreeing with you NS, and to be clear, I'm typically defending them not as being unbiased, but as not being "more" biased.

To me - there seems to be a lot of bias throughout the media, and a fairly disheartening level of inaccuracy.
I honestly have a "no news" rule in my house. No TV or major media news. This includes the news organization I work for (ssshhh don't tell my boss).

All the hate for Fox is fine. The Fox product isn't all that different from any other media outlet.

It's designed to manipulate you. In this case it worked well.

Here is the problem: "should be barred from presenting news period"

And who in the world would bar them?

The government overlord committee on truth? The DNC perhaps?

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Barring Fox from presenting news wouldn't affect their programming very much.

They'd have to remove the time stamp from their crawl.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Did anybody call for CBS to be pulled off the air after Rather's shenanigans? Which were about 4 orders of magnitude worse.

And the multitudes of similar incidents that have been posted on here , primarily by George and a few others by myself, Mik, Copper ....You've completely missed those?

I would if I knew of specific cases like this. The article I posted documents 3 specific cases that have all just recently occurred.
Case #1 occurred at CPAC this year
Case #2 occurred in November 2009 - that's almost a year and a half ago
Case #3 occurred in November 2009 - yep that's more than a year ago as well.

"Just recently"? You're one for three.

Now, which of these three stories fundamentally altered the story?

The first.

And because it did, it's wrong for them to have done it. However, the other two stories used canned footage in support of what they were reporting - what they were reporting was not false.

CBS reports on the Tea Party rally in Madison yesterday.

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7362990n&tag=related;photovideo

Fast forward to 0:20.

Why would someone come to a rally on April 16th carrying a sign telling you how to vote on April 5th?

Probably because they need a new calendar, right?

Or, GKSR2.

I'm not too certain of NS's judgment on anything. After all, I remember him calling me a raging conservative, when I wasn't here to even respond to the accusation, and not having had any interaction with him, whatsoever.
