I bought some towels to make my bathroom look nicer, but am really disappointed by the quality of towels these days. They are going back to the store.

I have decided to just continue to use my towels that are a decade or more old, all made in U.S.A.! Towels aren't made in the U.S.A anymore, right?

What is the fiber content? 100% cotton?

Rosemary, A year ago, I purchased 100% cotton that ended up all bunched up on the ends, and the other day, I purchased towels that are part bamboo and part cotton. The quality just isn't as good as my older towels that are not bunched up.

Ax: Thanks for the link. Have you ever purchased anything from that link, or know of anyone who has? It would be nice to support USA and get towels made in Georgia. I saw that the site claimed Wal-Mart carried some of their towels made in USA, but when I got on the Wal-Mart site, I didn't see them.

Huh. I would expect cotton and bamboo to be a good mix.

I have used some before that were sort of waxy. Shudder.

No ... best towels I ever purchased, I got them from some retail chain store (could have been Walmart or K-mart, could have been Venture or Bradley that have shut their doors long ago). I don't remember where they were made. After decade+ use and a probably a hundred wash cycles, I can no longer find the consumer info tags on them. Can only vaguely recall that they're supposed 100% Egyptian cotton.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
Kohls sells good towels at a reasonable price. Nice and thick and they stay white.
